The Public Library for Union County offers Outreach Programs for children and adults.
- The Adult Outreach Program was developed to provide library service to Union County residents of area nursing homes, home-bound senior citizens, and disabled library card holders. The program offers a variety of materials, including regular and large print books, recorded books, magazines, and information about services for the blind. For more information or to apply for these services please call (570) 523-1172 or visit the library at 255 Reitz Blvd. in Lewisburg.

A Story Time program and Traveling Library is presented on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Emmanuel United Church of Christ on the corner of Market and Vine streets in New Berlin. Children can listen to stories, participate in games and activities and make a simple craft. The program is open to preschool children (ages 3 to 5) free of charge. No registration is required.
- Traveling library services, which allow children to borrow books, are available to preschools, daycare centers, community centers, and after-school programs throughout the county. For more information, please call (570) 523-1172 or visit the library at 255 Reitz Blvd. in Lewisburg.
