TumbleBooks offers lively and interactive reading adventures for young children and their families. Their unique blend of animation, sound, music and narration creates a format that children will love. The eBooks are easy to read alone or with the help of an adult.
Both readers and nonreaders can use the eBooks. Automatic mode featuring narration, sentence highlighting and automatic page turning enables young children to listen or read along. The sound off/on button allows readers to mute the narration and read to themselves. In manual mode, children can turn the pages at their own speed.
A Favorites List enables you to save eBooks to return to over and over. The TumblePlayer allows you to build a play list of TumbleBooks which you can play one right after another to create your own Story Time! Preset playlists with themes or grade levels are available through Tumble TV.
The TumbleBooks storybook library includes picture books, chapter books and nonfiction titles for preschoolers, beginner readers and older independent readers. Old time favorites such as “The Paper Bag Princess” by Robert Munsch, as well as classic fairy tales such as “Jack and the Beanstalk” come to life. Many of the titles are also available in Spanish or French and bilingual editions. Titles from children’s book publishers such as Simon & Schuster, Chronicle Books, Candlewick Press, Charlesbridge Press, Harcourt, Little Brown, Walker & Company, Lerner Books, and HarperCollins Publishers, among others are included. An index contains the complete list of available titles and authors. The eBooks can also be searched by title, author, publisher, subject, language or reading level.
A collection of puzzles, games and quizzes accompany each book and teach concepts from the books, allowing for a fun and educational learning experience. Parents, especially homeschoolers, will appreciate the lesson plans which extend the story.
