VOICE, which stands for “Volunteer Opportunities in Community Endeavors,” is a coalition of 34 local human service agencies whose mission is to strengthen, develop and promote the role of volunteerism in meeting community needs. According to Nancy Libbey, one of the organization’s founders, VOICE began in the summer of 2009 as a grassroots effort by local volunteer-driven organizations. New members are welcome. Each organization has the opportunity to broaden their awareness of volunteer management practices, develop meaningful volunteer opportunities and post openings to VolunteerMatch.org.
