Thousands and thousands of books lined the tables in the gymnasium of Faith Lutheran Church last Wednesday for the opening of the 2012 Annual Used Book Sale presented by The Public Library for Union County. By Saturday afternoon, there wasn’t much left.

The book sale raised a total of $23,343.90; a $484.80 increase over last year. All proceeds from the sale are used to augment the collection of books and materials available for the community to use. The annual book sale is one of the library’s largest fundraisers.

The library will begin accepting donations on August 1 in preparation for next year’s book sale.

And don’t forget, the Better & Vintage Book Sale will be held November 14-16 in the large community room at The Public Library for Union County.
